Sunday Night Knit Night | no. 4

Oh hey there. I’m so happy to sit down and knit tonight! After a week full of skiing and twelve hours of traveling yesterday, things are finally starting to quiet down over here.

What I’m Knitting

I haven’t started anything new this week. After I finished my beanie, my sister-in-law said she wanted one as well. So I did cast on for that, and I’ve gotten to the finger part of Kevin’s gloves. I would have finished those up while we were away, but something about traveling with stitches that were hanging on to scrap yarn just didn’t sit well with me.

I was tempted to walk down to our yarn shop earlier today, but Kevin told me the yarn I was setting out to buy was going to be my birthday present from him. So the yarn hiatus continues (boo!).

Things of Interest

My dad infamously gave my mom a wooden trash can for either their first anniversary or first married Valentine’s Day. Mom never lets him live it down, but I for one wouldn’t mind seeing this trash can magically appear on Wednesday.

Girl, Wash Your Face came out last week! It was my first book launch team ever, so it is my duty to tell you that it changed my life and you should buy it!

I made Gunner some whole wheat, peanut butter and pumpkin dog treats today. I can’t find the recipe online, but it’s in Sally’s Baking Addiction Cookie Addiction book!

Our Instant Pot finally returned to us! We’re making one-pot chicken alfredo Monday night, and I’m looking forward to cooking my morning eggs in it this week. Maybe Kevin won’t fuss about my smelly eggs anymore. 😉

Coming Up Next

I just started reading Jojo Moyes’ Still Me. I absolutely loved Me Before You and have been anxiously awaiting this new release. I was so excited to see it in the line-up for February’s Book of the Month box. It was waiting for us when we got home from Canada, and I cracked it open before bed last night.
